No suprises A review of Hampton Inn Gatlinburg

Spent a long weekend at the Hampton Inn December 9-11. Hotel staff was friendly and helpful. Continental breakfast was average. If you are looking for a full meal go find a place to eat and pay for it. The rooms are small but clean. The hotel is located in the middle of the action so if you are looking for a quiet place this isn't it. If you want peace and quiet you should rent a condo outside of town and drive into Gatlinburg during the day. There are lots of public parking available however during the busy season you may have to fight traffic to get to them. It's all about your priorities. Good places to eat across the steet from the hotel - Cherokee Grill and Calhoun's (very good ribs). The next time I go to Gatlinburg I will choose to stay away from the downtown area. It's worth the hassle driving in order to enjoy a good night's rest.
