NO REASON TO STAY HERE A review of Park Inn Pribaltiyskaya St Petersburg
Stayed here in 2001 with Intourist. This hotel exempifies what Intourist do badly. While our Moscow experience was good our Intourist guide here picked us up off the overnight train and took us on a long trip to this hotel. She was unable or unwilling to get us access to our rooms or even anywhere the hotel could provide temporarily for us to freshen up. Hence we were forced into a city tour before there was any possibility of us checking in! Totally disgraceful.
The hotel itself is in the middle of nowhere but we managed to find our way into town by way of walking, strange mini-bus trips to the subway and onwards. Lots of bars etc. in this hotel but none seemed busy nor were open late.
Rooms were drab and ours faced grim housing blocks which in itself did not bother us. By far the best view was from the back of the hotel over the Gulf of Finland.
For a variety of reasons we wouldn't visit St. Peterburg again. We certainly would not visit this hotel again. Overall our experience was bland in the extreme. The hotel has nothing to recommend it.
