No Class Staff at a Very Classy Place! A review of Kemah Escape
Since opening, my husband and I had viewed the Escape as our local opportunity to do just that. They are familiar with us, we have stayed there often. Our most recent stay, they placed us next to a large group with small children that screamed all night on the patio. Our hot tub was not heated when we arrived. The room had a table with a poker under it that stuck out 2 inches past the table top, when I walked past it, it jabbed into my thigh. A month and a half later, my thigh is still bruised. When we told the front desk in the morning about our comical "night from Hell" she offered this, "Well, anyone can bump anything, I've bumped into that same spot before." As if that were clarification that I too was clumsy. Maybe if the table and top were properly anchored, that would not happen to unsuspecting guests... or staff. When we told her of the hot tub being cold and the loud, and VERY DISTURBING guests next door, she grabbed her walkie talkie and screamed out "Could someone send..... to the office please, we have guests that don't want to pay for their room." Which was no way to deal with the issue at hand. No class. Just goes to show, you can't buy EVERYTHING! Needless to say, we flew out the door, horrified by her behavior. Get a job at the bar honey, and leave the courtesy management positions to ladies and gentlemen, something you know nothing about. And for future reference, no one checking into your hotel wants to hear about how you inject yoursef with B-12 shots and how the drugstores must think you are a heroine addict. That is MUCH MUCH more information than ANY guest needs from you!
