Nicely Rustic, Good Location A review of Key Lime Inn
This is a lovely property, right on Truman Avenue (US 1), and an easy walk to Duval Street. The wooden buildings are chalet-like, and are spread around the pool and other areas, with trees and chickens (!) adding to the atmosphere. The place has a rustic feel. We wouldn't like the location of some of the rooms (overlooking the car lot, especially) so ask for a room in a building by the pool. The room was small, without a refridgerator which would have been useful, but it was decorated in a modern style, was very clean, and included a free gecko lizard half way up the wall!. A lovely continental help-yourself breakfast was available by the pool every morning including coffee, orange juice, muffins, bagles, danish, croissants, etc. Even though it was quite expensive compared with other places we stayed on our trip around Florida, we would definitely stay here again if we ever returned to Key West.
