Nice view, but underwhelmed.. A review of Renaissance Nashville Hotel

We arrived for one night - New Year's Eve. The hotel was easy to find by car and the valet services were very good. Check-in was a nightmare as they had the wrong information for my reservation. They had split the charge/reservation between my husband and me. When I had called and changed the reservation, they only changed part of it. The check-in person was very nice and helpful, but of course it had me worried that they would charge me extra nights. (They did not by the way, however, roomservice tried to make me pay cash because they kept trying to ring it under the wrong account due to the mixup - that took 30 minutes to straighten out). Our room was on the 22nd floor with a spectacular view. The elevators are AWFUL! G-Forces are not something I want or need in an elevator! Amenities were normal for a hotel of that type.

However, the rooms were very loud. I could hear everything the people said next door and in the hallway. You can imagine what that is like on New Year's Eve! Overall the hotel was okay, however, we will not stay there in the future. If staying downtown or near downtown, we will try Loew's Vanderbilt.
