Nice stay at the Marriott A review of Buffalo Marriott Niagara
We spent a couple of nights in mid-October (2004) at the Marriott in Buffalo. We were in Buffalo for a specific event (a tournament), or would not have chosen to stay in Buffalo at all. (The "Buffalo Marriott Niagara" is a misnomer, since it's around 30 minutes to Niagara Falls. If your purpose is to stay near Niagara Falls, I'd suggest looking for a hotel much closer to Niagara Falls. There are certainly plenty of hotels on both sides of the Falls themselves.)
We were pleasantly surprised by the Buffalo Marriott Niagara. We were traveling with our daughter, so had two double beds (rather than our preferred Queen or King), but found the room to be spacious and comfortable. It was clean, with none of the usual 'hotel smells'. We stayed in a non-smoking room. There was a desk and a comfortable 'easy chair'. A small refrigerator and/or microwave would be a nice touch, but this is a hotel (not a suite-style place).
Due to our schedule while there, we didn't have an opportunity to eat in the hotel, so don't even know if there is a restaurant there. There is a gift shop on site. There are several restaurants within easy driving distance (near to the hotel, but not really within walking distance).
We made our reservation via Site 59, so the price of the hotel was included in the package. Check-in and check-out was also simplified by the 'package' deal (we'd already paid for the room when we paid for the package).
The hotel was convenient for what we needed (proximity to the tournament we attended in Buffalo; close enough to be convenient for our quick visit to Niagara Falls).
We would definitely stay here again.
