Nice room - but service needs attention! A review of DoubleTree by Hilton Sacramento
We stayed in a club room and thought it was nice. It had a nice patio area; nice comfortable sitting chair and couch (convert into sleeper); desk; comfortable bed and 2 sinks for the bathroom. Given when the hotel was built, the bathroom is quite nice. We thought overall the rooms were nice for a stay. We found the location for the California State Fair ideal and it was not a far drive to Sacramento Old Town (about 15-20 minutes).
The overall hotel service however needs some help. We were given a continental breakfast with the room. Unfortunately, the service was the absolute pits. They gave you eggs, but no salt or pepper available.
When we went, the room was nice - but 20 tables were totally unbussed....
and we barely found an adequate one. They give you cereal for your breakfast....but no bowls and we had to ask 3 times for a bowl.
The service is bad, bad, bad.....
The housekeeping service did do a good job on our room - but when it comes to cafe service, best to look elsewhere.....This place needs some serious management attention.
