Nice, Quiet Hotel A review of Hilton Alexandria Old Town
Stayed here in the middle of July. The Hilton Alexandria was a nice, comfortable hotel. It's for the most part a basic Hilton property. The rooms were your average hotel room. They were clean and had nice furniture. The bathrooms were of decent size and had good amenities. The beds aren't "heavenly" but they make do. Front desk staff were ok, but not extremely helpful or nice. Lobby is well decorated and has places to sit and relax. They have a small indoor pool and a work out facility which we did not use. They also have an on-site restuarant which we did not eat at. The best part of the hotel is the location! It is a quick walk to the Metro, which takes you all over the DC and Virginia area. If you walk down King Street for about a mile, you will arrive at the potomac river (a very relaxing place to go sit and people/boat/airplane watch). There are also shops and restuarants located all along King Street. I would stay there again and would recommend it to people looking for a nice hotel with a great location.
