NIce Property, Bad Value A review of Loews Annapolis Hotel
I travel 120 nights a year. I would like to think I have a good idea of hotel values; the feeling you have after you divided the dollars spent into what you got.
As much as I like to post only good reviews of hotels, this Loews is a bad value. The room rate was almost 170 and it was not a superior style room. Even in DC you can get a nice executive single for 150 to 200.
After that, Internet access costs $9.99 a day and if you are attending a meeting at the hotel, your Internet access is not available in the conference room. They also charged me for parking even after I told the front desk clerk twice that I did not have a car.
One of the greatest sins a hotelier can committ these days is to nickle and diming customer and that is what happened to me at this location.
To be fair, the room I was in showed some signs of redecorating in the last 24 to 36 months and there was the smell of new carpet in the building.
The hotel is about 8 blocks from the waterfront. Unless someone else is paying the bill, pass on the Loews.
