Nice Place A review of Omni Hotel at Independence Park
I stayed here in June of 2003 with my family. Hotel is very nice. Rate was $139, which was fair for the location and amenities. Parking and taxes will add to this. The view was nice. It overlooks part of Independence Park. It is a 5 minute walk to the liberty bell, the city tavern, independence hall and franklin's place. Great Location for anyone visiting the historic sites. The room was nice, spacious, clean, comfortable. The bathroom was clean, spacious, marble floors, well lighted. The concierge was very helpful when it came to suggestions about what to see while we were there. The people of Philly were very nice. I can't comment on room service, I didn't order any. I did have breakfast there one morning, and it was good, though pricey (as most hotel breakfasts are). The people I dealt with (concierge, valet, front counter) were friendly and helpful. My only complaints were that the TV sat on a very low stand and you couldn't see it well while lying in bed, and that the ice machines were not on every floor and the first one I visited was broken (so it took several elevator rides to get some ice).
