Nice place wth convenient public transportaton A review of The Inn At Longwood Medical
We stayed here on two seperate weekends and had some minor problems, but nothng major. Be aware that some of the rooms that are not on the streetside are facing an interior courtyard with extremely small windows and little to no ventilation and no temperature control. I was told these are called "cool rooms". I think there are just a few of these, but just be warned. After we were put in one of these hot, stuffy rooms, I called the front desk and they quickly changed me to a street side room with better ventilation. You do have to contend with street noise, but that is what ear plugs are for. The desk people were friendly and willing to help with advice, except about public transportation. The concierge was not really infomative. I found it curious that no one knew, or wanted to take the time, to help us figure out the public transportation that is available nearby. The hotel is conveniently located between two green line trains that take you right into the heart of the city. No problems. Go in either direction on Longwood for about 4 blocks and you will be able to catch a green line train into town.
In sum, the hotel is functional, clean and convenient. The staff are nice and try to be helpful.
