Nice place with a few problems A review of Hyatt Place Medford
We stayed here for 2 nights for our trip into Boston. 2 adults and 3 small children. We got a suite, which was larger than the room we had at the John Carver inn in Plymouth. However, there were no garbage can liners and several of the light bulbs were out in the room. We called the front desk and it took about an hour and a half and 3 visits from the maintenance man to get the bulbs. We were also given an industrial size garbage bag! LOL. The room could have been a little cleaner and the bathroom had some cracked tiles which were razor sharp. We also had continual problems with the keys to our room, which kept failing to work. had to have them reset several times in 2 days.
The breakfast was nice with an area to make your own waffles. Many cereals, breads, yogurt and muffins. Scrambled eggs and sausage patties were offered as well. There was not enough seating though, many people standing above others waiting to take their table.
I did not find the front desk staff to be overly friendly, but not nasty either. We parked at the nearby Wellington T station and went into Boston with no problem, lots of transit people willing to help with directions, as the front desk staff were less than helpful in that area.
Overall, It was a decent stay, but we would not stay there again.
