Nice place to stay A review of Olympic Lodge

It was a last minute decision to stay here. The hotel itself is nicely done, with pretty views, and the lobby is cozy with a fireplace, coffee/tea. In the evening there is homemade soup and fresh cookies.

Front desk staff was very nice, and gave us very good advice regarding a restaurant for dinner (Bella Italia - highly recommend). Morning breakfast was described as continental, but it was a really expanded continental (make your own fresh waffles of 3 different flavors, biscuits and gravy, egg McMuffin-type sandwiches, hot oatmeal). Given that it was a Best Western and off-season, the price was a little high ($89/night), but this part of the country seems a bit overpriced in general, so it is consistent with prices in the area. Location-wise it might have been nicer to stay closer to the town, or near the water, but it was convenient enough, and we were quite pleased with our stay.
