Nice place, lame management A review of Rose Garden Inn

Very pretty buildings, sweet garden, some nice rooms, convenient location, but management is out to lunch. We wanted to have our wedding in the garden, but innkeeper stalled for weeks on our contract. On the day we arrived, we were told our deluxe room was not available. We were put up (at no extra expense) at the very nice Claremont Hotel, but the story we were given was an insult to our intelligence, something about the room "not working." And on the day of our wedding, there were no chairs being set up, no sign at all that an event was about to take place. The groom and other family members had to set up chairs half an hour before our event. It was as if we were the invisible clients.

Breakfast buffet okay, but the selling point is the Fay House and the garden. I'd say stay here if you can get a good rate, but don't expect top B&B quality.
