Nice little hotel A review of Hawthorn Suites by Wyndham Los Angeles

It's a nice little place and we got a great rate on their web-site for $79 per night. The bed was really comfortable and the room was very clean. Looking at the photos on the site, the TV looked like it was in an odd place. But it actually slides out and swivels on top of the dresser for easy viewing from either side of the room. The breakfast was good - hot and cold items to choose from. There was a problem with the alarm clocks - Our clock went off the first night at 3am. The next night you could hear the clock going off in the room next door...forever. I guess previous guests thought it would be funny to set the alarms at odd times. Also, there was a family staying at the hotel and they all had about 15 kids put together all under the age of 12. They never seemed to leave the hotel (except the husbands) and the kids were always running around, making noise and it made for a cramped breakfast and they were always on the computer. It's rude to the other guests to leave kids running around all day. It felt like a daycare.

The hotel was great, but I guess you can only do so much to controls your guests.
