Nice little hotel at a good price A review of Anna Hotel
I stayed at the Anna Dependance in September 2004. The Dependance is an annex of 12 rooms 2 short blocks away from the main Anna hotel; you have to go the Anna for check-in and breakfast. The price of a single was 25-30% cheaper than in the main hotel. The Dependance is almost brand new, and the spacious size of the room; bright, pastel decor; warm, honey colored furniture; and sparkling bathroom (with a separate room for the WC) were surprisingly nice for this price range. The room even had a 19-20 inch TV with the most channels I have ever seen in Europe. However, there is only 1 hallway phone for all 12 Dependance rooms, and the bed was not very firm. You also have to enter the Dependance through a small courtyard that is dark and deserted at night. Breakfast is in a bright, pastel basement room at the Anna. The desk staff at the Anna are all young, cheerful, friendly (and quite attractive) girls who speak excellent English. The hotel is 5 minutes from the Namesti Miru metro stop, but a 15 minute walk to Wencelas square. I have also stayed at the Hotel Lunik - the rooms at the Anna are nicer, but the Lunik is a bit cheaper and more central than the Anna. Both hotels are excellent choices for the price.
