Nice hotel. needs more experience management A review of Hotel Viking
For such a touristy town, you would think this hotel would have a concierge. Whatever I asked, no one knew anything. They were friendly but I swear they lived in Philadelphia and commuted very morning. So for the prices, you're getting an average room, noisy parking lot, slow breakfast service, and a staff that doesn't know a thing. But, guess what, there's not much to choose from in town just mostly high priced B&B's (over $350 per night).. The hotel does have a pool, workout area, business center, restaurant.
But when I asked if there was place to get tea, no one mentioned that tea was served from 2 to 4 downstairs. No one knew that there was a drug store (right down the street). You would have thought aliens had beamed down to work in the staff's places. A post office? I spent more time reading the yellow pages than anyplace I have ever travelled. If you get a spa treatment, expect to have the tip added. You don't get a choice about how much. The parking lot is always full across the street so you have to sneak in the back lot that is totally empty (valet).
