Nice hotel, loved the riverfront A review of BEST WESTERN PLUS Hood River Inn
We stayed here on our way from Portland after a day of sightseeing along the Columbia River Gorge. We spent the extra $20 on a riverfront room on the ground floor, which I would definitely recommend doing. I would have liked to have been up higher, but the riverfront was definitely worth the extra $20. The rooms were clean, the outdoor pool and whirlpool was very nice, and the desk staff was mostly very accomodating and pleasant (there was one mean-looking college-age blond with an attitude about my children...we avoided her). We ate dinner at the Copper Salmon around the corner and cannot say enough about how accommodating and awesome that place was. I was surprised and disappointed that there was no free breakfast at the hotel - there was a restaurant on the premises, though.
If memory serves, we paid $99 for a room with two queen beds on the riverfront. I'd recommend this place to my friends and family. Hood River is a great town, also. Stop by!
