Nice Getaway A review of South Coast Winery Resort & Spa
My husband and I stayed at the Southcoast Winery & Resort from February 3rd to February 6th. It was WONDERFUL! Our room was quite large, with many amenities. The closet had plush robes and disposable house slippers ready for us to put right on. The mini-refrigerator had complimentary Southcoast water, and the BEAUTIFUL marble bathroom was full of all of the essentials we needed. I loved the shower with the swinging glass door, and it had a double shower head which made it easy for two to shower. The oversize tub was great. I think we took about 6 baths in our 3 nights there :) The king size bed was pretty good. I had to run to Target and buy a pillow that was a little more my style, but that is because I don't care for super squishy pillows....as far as the staff goes, everyone was really nice and made us feel right at home. I loved that our room did not share any common walls. It was like being in our own little cottage! Lots and lots of privacy. We never heard any of the other guests. Although the spa is not up yet, my husband was happy to enjoy a massage in our room.....the bottle of wine in our room was pretty tasty, and the daily continental breakfast wasn't bad at all. They served Starbucks coffee and had lots of bagels and muffins. We brought a portable DVD player and were able to connect it right to the TV in our room. We loved being lazy, and just laying in our comfortable bed watching movies for half the day....very relaxing trip. My only tiny complaint was that the french doors that led to our patio were VERY difficult to lock. So be careful with that.
I know when the pool, spa & restaurant are up and running, this place will easily run $500 a night! So go now while the rates are low!
