Nice.....but odd in a way A review of Quinault Beach Resort and Casino
We stayed at the Resort in April of 2003, and are returning this weekend actually. The concept of a Hotel/Casino Resort is long overdue in Washington, and this is what brings us to the Resort. We don't gamble much, but enjoy the atmosphere...and people watching. My beef is two fold......with an amazing view....the patio consists of a railing!
I understand that the object is for the Guests to have very limited reasons to stay in their rooms...........which is made even clearer with the absense of a microwave in the rooms or anywhere for that matter. I don't recall any hotel that had a Fridge but no Microwave. A 5 foot deck, and a $30 microwave would have left me only to complain about the staff. I felt unwelcome.......I am Caucasian, and I was made to feel that way...and in "their world" it's rude to ask for a couple of extra coffee packets for the room, or the use of a microwave. I'm sure they may have been having a bad day or what-not, so I do feel that the body of the staff was plesant. I do recomend the experience though, and am looking forward to this weekend. That remind's me to pack my mini microwave. :o)
