Nice, but noisy in the middle of nowhere A review of Crowne Plaza Brussels Europa
This is a typical hotel for the Eurocrats and people doing business with them. An anonymous high rise bunker in the middle of an office district. The rooms are fairly large and comfortable. Unfortunately many rooms overlook a busy railway station. I had problems sleeping. The other rooms overlook a busy 4 lane road, so I guess there's no escape.
The frontdesk was nice and helpful. If you need a taxi in the morning be sure to ask them to reserve a cab for you the evening before.
If you are in Brussels as a tourist the hotel is a 30 minute walk or a a 10 minute taxi ride to the Grande Place. There is nothing of interest near the hotel. Everything is dead after office hours. All of the nearby restaurants are only open for lunch!
The breakfast buffet is quite nice, but at 25 Euros much too expensive.
