Nice Basic hotel A review of Hotel Belvedere
We stayed here during June 2004, for 4 nights. we found the rooms basic, but clean, with nylon bed spreads, but the bath room was impresively very modern. We were on the 5th floor with great views down the street of the Prumyslovy Palace ( The Music Gardens) Clock tower. The lift was tiny just enough room for two people & a suit case, but very opulent in inside even so. & the stairs were very wide & accesible. The dining room reminded me of the Communist era, but the buffet breakfasts were wonderfully filling with the strangest (for a Brit) assortment to choose, from hot savoury soup to cakes, lovely. The staff extremely friendly & obliging. Very easy access to the town by Tram or Underground(Tube/Metro/subway) Tram stops within a minute of the doors and The tube about 5 mins down hill. The punctuallity of both services were outstanding. Bang on time to the second. Very impressed. (& cheap 3 day pass available too).
