Nice alternative to the casinos! A review of Falcon Ridge Hotel
Stayed there one nite in June 2005 because CasaBlanca was undergoing a renovation and had no vacancy. A very nice hotel/motel that opened in May 2005. It has a 'business center' with high speed internet, workout room and an arcade for the kids. The pools are yet to be finished - which is great since you can use the CasaBlanca pools, which have the best pools this side of Vegas. There are no gambling facilities and have a better-than-average breakfast. Was expecting your typical continental breakfast, but found french toast, bacon, eggs, hash brown, juice, coffee, bagel, etc, etc.
The only problem I had with the facility was the showers were a bit close in and the a/c unit is a bit noisy. Other than that, you can't beat it for the price! FWIW, I don't think the 3-star review was a fair one, and the facility is certainly better than 'average'.
If you're travelling with family, I would also recommed the Rio Virgin Grille restaurant just south of exit 122. A very nice local restaurant with great homemade soup, good food, excellent service and very reasonable prices.
