Nice Affordable Place to Stay A review of Maui Coast Hotel
We stayed at the Maui Coast Hotel 5 nights in January of 2003 and were pleased with our stay. We would be happy to stay at the MCH again but would also consider other options if returning to Maui.
We had an alcove suite, which provides over 500 sq. ft. of space, including a king bed, sitting area with a fold out double bed, wet bar with fridge and large bath with a wirlpool tub. Through a 5th night free package deal we paid an average of about $130 per night.
The room was very clean, well decorated and in good condition. The staff were friendly and did their job well, except that the front desk had to be contacted 3 times to resolve a special request.
Kamole Beach Park is just across the road and was pleasant and uncrowded.
The hotel is conveniently located but traffic in and out of Kihei was often heavy and moved slowly (both on South Kihei Road and Route 31). Traffic congestion was not limited to the Kihei area - it was heavy around Kahului and Lahaina as well.
