Newly renovated and wonderful A review of Rodeway Inn
We have now stayed at the Rodeway Inn in Berkeley three visits in the past nine months. The new owners have put a lot into the place. It was spotless. My wife has serious allergies (we always travel with an air filter) but despite all new furniture, bedding, and paint, she had no problems. Before renovations it looked like a flophouse; now it's immaculate.
There is wireless, a small refrigerator with enough freezer space to freeze blue ice, and a microwave. The bathrooms are tiled. The continental breakfast is better than most, offering cereal with milk, toast and English muffins, fruit choices, etc.
Our daughter is a senior at UC Berkeley, so we've spent a lot of hotel nights in the area. There are AAA discounts. The newly renovated Rodeway Inn is now our hotel of choice.
And the Thai restaurant in front is one of the best we know; we've been eating there on visits to a nearby friend for years.
