New level of incompetence A review of Le Meridien Atlanta Perimeter

We began our getaway at the W by being given the keys to a suite after booking on the internet what we believed to be reasonable rate. Upon entering the suite, we immediately noticed clothing, a cell phone, an unmade bed and the to our shock that the room was still occupied. We were then given new keys to a room that was not a suite and did not match the ameneties we booked and had received confirmation of. Later that night we retired to our room and were disturbed by a houskeeper that was concerned a hair dryer provided in the bathroom by the hotel was missing its cloth bag covering. The dresser door in the wardrobe was so warped that it didnt open no matter how strong the pursuasion. Our chance to sleep in Saturday morning was ruined by the front desk calling early in the morning to say our credit card needed to be run through again. At check out we were told there was no need to run our card again. My wife asked to see the bill and we found that we had been billed $393.00 for the night which was over twice our internet booking rate. The Desk manager said they never have a rate that high and spent some time correcting it. I am still worried that it could prove to be a problem. I believe I could find more competence booking a night at a local fraternity house. THe bar is about 12 feet long, and the retaurant is cheap tables and chairs set up in the lobby that appeared to be an afterthought. The rave reviews we read that influenced us to try this hotel must be from those who just do not get out much. Do not waste your money on this amatuer management nightmare.
