We had been booked into the Victorian for a retreat on the weekend of August 22-24 . When we arrived on Saturday, the surly girl at the desk had a hard time finding our reservation then informed us it was $189 for the one bedroom condo for one night. We told her we had a group rate and she said that was the group rate. Customer service is not a priority here, folks! Now, I would think for that kind of money we would be walking into quite a room once we figured out where it was!

Security bar for the sliding glass door was half out of the wall, dishes had been put back into the cabinet with layers of caked on crud on them, coffee, soaps, etc. not even enough for 1 person. By the way, our rate was supposed to be $109 for that first night, but we had to wait until the person who actually made the reservations for the group got there. When we checked out, not one Victorian employee asked how our stay had been. I'm sure they didn't want to hear. There are too many other places to stay in Galveston. Never again will I stay at the Victorian.
