Never a radisson again A review of Radisson Hotel Reagan National Airport
Our first trip to Washington DC and we booked short notice so the travel agent recommended this hotel for CoffeeFest. We've stayed at Radissons before but have never had this terrible of experience. We arrived very late due to our flights being cancelled and getting a different flight. The new person at the desk at 2:00am in the morning said I had called to cancel. I had called earlier to inform them we were arriving very late and asked distance from airport since we had to fly into a different airport then planned. (of course they had no idea). So he was trying to book me in but said he would have to give me the "walk-in" price. I showed him my confirmed reservation with the price on it stating king-sleep number bed. Long story short he had to call the manager at home, it took 1 1/2 hour to check us in and he said the mg would take care of the price tomorrow.
Next day I spoke with her at the desk, (she wasn't the gm, but the front desk mgr.) I told her we had a queen bed that wasn't a number bed and the pain it took to check in. She said she would upgrade us to a suite, give us 1-night free and dinner at the resturant. I was very impressed and told her because of her I won't write a letter about the horrible check in and room mishap. But, we did not get that night free like she said and of course they couldn't help us when we checked out, so I continually called and left messages with 2- numbers they could reach me on and never got a call back. I finally spoke with her and she then said that she said we could have the night free but didn't know how many nights we were staying so since we were there 3-nights we didn't get a night free(?) and that she upgraded us and gave us dinner. I told her that wasn't the point, I shouldn't have been told we would get that night free. She then said she never said that. It was a mess. I asked the gm's name and left a message for him several times and never got a call back. I've never been treated like this at any hotel anywhere. And I've can't believe that the manager doesn't return your calls when you are upset about something. They do not value customer service at all.
