My 7-year old wants to move to Paws Up.... A review of Resort at Paws Up
We spent a week in August 2005 @ Paws Up with our 7 and 4 year olds, and 18-month old + our au pair.
There was plenty of room in the *gorgeous* Big Timber home for all of us. It was really stunning. (And I hate to say it, but one of the best parts was the well-appointed and stocked laundry room!) There were 3 TV/DVD players, and I borrowed DVDs from the resort's collection to watch in the evenings.
Definitely stop at Albertson's (supermarket) on the way from the airport and stock up on food, snacks and liquor (if you desire). The meals were pricey and not fabulous. With 3 little ones, we ate at home a lot. ($20 pancakes don't do much for me.)
My 7-year old LOVED the Kids' Camp. Very fun ativities and a cool clubhouse kept her happy as a clam. She wants me to mention that the best part was that each house gets a golf cart to ride around the property (she got to steer.) A pool would have been great, but the private hot tub was fun.
The organized activities were expensive, but enjoyable. Being a new resort, there were some glitches in scheduling, but the staff handled it well. Every staff person we encountered was warm and friendly. They thought of every little detail and were cheerfully accomodating, e.g. when I mentioned to a waitress that all the cups in the home were glass, she brought me plastic ones to take for the kids.
We would definitely return to Paws Up. As I said, my daughter wants to move there, but we'd be broke quickly!
