More Hassle than it's Worth!! A review of Conrad Miami
This hotel was more hassle than it's worth. I had reservations for 4 double rooms for 3 nights. Upon check-in I was informed that they only had king rooms available and was told that I did not "request" double beds. I had a party of 13 traveling with me, so why would I not request double beds with only four rooms? Upon investigation, it was discovered that my original reservation was changed because the no one at the front desk could figure out why I needed/wanted double beds and I reserved four rooms. After finally getting this resolved with an unfriendly staff everything else went smooth sailing. That is until I get my credit card statement to find out I've been overcharged $241.00. I called the hotel back to see what the charges were for, and I'm informed that a "throw/blanket" was missing from one of the rooms plus some other "junk" was supposedly taken. I expressed how I was highly insulted at the insinuation that me or anyone in my party removed anything from any of our rooms, but I was just apologetically informed that nothing could be done about the charges. I am a huge Embassy Suites fan which is part of the Hilton family. I have never experienced such hassle with any Embassy I ever stayed in and supposedly the Embassy is a couple of notches below the "Conrad"!! Well this was my first and last experience with a Conrad hotel. The hotel is new, so maybe with age better service will come, but as of right now my bitter sweet experience will keep me away!!
