Misleading and Disappointed A review of Sanctuary Resort & Spa
Our family of four have just returned from a weekend wedding held in Palm Springs, CA. Because of the astronomical high hotel prices in Palm Springs, we decided to stay in Desert Hot Springs, which was close to the wedding venue. While checking on the internet, the La Toscana website caught our eye. It was rated 3-1/2 stars out of 5 and the pictures on their virtual website was quite attractive. It advertised mineral hot springs and luxurious accommodations. When we arrived, we could not believe this was the same place as advertised on the internet. Pool was small, tile hallways leading to room were broken and holes were evident. Room amenities were horrendous. Rugs in the rooms were sticky, room telephone was not in working order, sink stopper was broken, air conditioning units - old and noisy. The overall look of the room was old and in disrepair. Room keys did not work and had to be rekeyed and still only one worked. Rollaway bed mattress ($10 extra charge) was so old and uncomfortable. Minimal staff was evident. They should have paid us to stay there!
