Mike was Awsome A review of Hilton Providence
I stayed here in Feb of 2003 while checking out a school (johnson and wales). At the time i was 19 and my friend who accompianed me was 21.
We went the weekend of the fire, which was odd. Anyway, the hotel is completely overpriced. Granted, it was not dirty or anything like that but the resturant downstairs was very pricey as was the room service.
Food was good, but much to expensive. People could not answer questions. Now that I live in Providence I know it is a known fact that underage drinking is rampid, however the hotel staff (who were young, around our age) claimed i would not be able to get in anywhere. We were referred to some of the worst clubs I have ever been to (the complex).
The one sheet had a iron burn mark in it and they offered very little channels on tv, not to mention parking was atrocious. They made you pay additional money to park and it was a lot shared with the public, therefore there was a change you could not find a spot. The pool and jacuzzi were okay, nothing special.
