Mediocrity Personified A review of Hyatt Regency Bethesda
I took my wife and child here one weekend and was dissapointed by the service and staff. The front desk person was most unfriendly and seemed to take offense to be asked simple questions about the property and nearby restaurants my family might try.
Our room was mediocre overall, w/a number of hairs in the bathroom (tub and sink area mostly) and also in one of the beds, unfortunately. There was also some dirt scattered round that hadn't been vacuumed up.
When I went down to the front desk to ask if we could switch to another room, another front desk clerk dryly and sourly noted without looking up at me at all that she could switch us, but it probably wouldn't make much difference! The 2nd room was marginally better but they definitely have a housekeeping problem...
I've come to expect much more from Hyatt than this type of service...I was pretty surprised.
