Many Little Hershey-o-Philes A review of Sheraton Harrisburg-Hershey
My husband and I were passing through Harrisburg, PA on our way to and from points east. We were disappointed with the hotel we stayed in on the way east, so we went to check out the Wyndham Harrisburg-Hershey in order to make reservations for our trip home. It was a Sunday morning and the "joint was jumpin'" with many children running around, eating at the restaurant, enjoying the indoor/outdoor pool, etc. We had a different experience when we returned to the hotel for our stay on a Monday night. We arrived at the hotel after 11 p.m., checked into our nicely appointed, quiet room on the 9th floor then returned to the bar on the main floor of the hotel where we were able to sit in the non-smoking section and enjoy martinis. We wished we could stay longer at this hotel, as the lounge chairs by the pool looked very inviting and we found our room comfortable with nice touches like a thick rug in the bathroom, a bathrobe hanging in the closet and a bottle of wine greeting us upon arrival. We might not have stayed at this hotel because the price was over what I was hoping to pay, but when we learned that we could reduce our rate by $34 dollars by "flashing" our Sam's Club membership card, we were sold.
