Lukewarm on Altamonte Embassy Suites A review of Embassy Suites Hotel Orlando - North

I have an idea for the next season of the TV show the "Simple Life". In this season Paris would actually go an stay at one of the properties owned by the Hitlon chain such as the Embassy Suites Altamonte Springs. Let's see how she deals with 1) An aging overpriced ($114 AAA rate) hotel that needs a tear down the walls remodel. The room was updated in the past few years with new furniture but the bathroom was sorely in need of updating. Also, the room has a very musty smell that was masked by that spray used by housekeeping staffs. 2) The breakfast was horrible. There was a kids soccer tournament staying there and it was overrun by kids - the line was long, food was awful and not worth the 20 minute wait in line. Cook was really working it though - However they should have had more than one on a holiday weekend. My wife actually vomited after eating bacon from the breakfast bar. 3) Pool area was infested with wild kids and looked like a pack of wolves had gone through there. Also, it was so humid in the pool area it was impossible to sit in the area. 4) There was no hot water (lukewarm only) during the morning hours. Either don't sleep in or be prepared to shower in the evening if the hotel is full.

In summary, I has stayed at worse - but I feel like this hotel needs to invest some money and improve its infrastructure and breakfast - but why should it when it was a packed house of suckers lining up to pay. (myself included) There are other hotels in the area. Buyer beware.
