Lovely Place to Stay A review of Habitat Suites Hotel
This is a very pleasant and peaceful hotel that does not look like a hotel but like an apartment complex with lots of green plants and flowers all around it. It is hard to believe it is nestled in the city. I stayed in a 2 BDR for one night with my husband and two teen age boys who absolutely loved it!
All of us had our own private sleeping area. We all especially enjoyed the upstairs bedroom that had its own TV, bathroom, phone, and balcony window over looking the living room. It was very clean and spacious even with a small sofa bed in the living room for my other son who had his own TV as well.
The continental breakfast that included eggs, sasauge, biscuits, gravy, waffles, fruit, cereal, milk, and juices, was awesome and it beat any fast food from McDonalds.
The only draw back of this hotel for me is that I hate very firm bed mattresses so I had a very difficult time sleeping. So if you sleep better on a soft bed, this hotel is not for you. Also their swimming pool closes at 9:00pm which may be way too early for you as it was for us.
If you do go visit Austin, make sure you go visit the Texas State Capitol, and go watch the 1.2 million bats fly out each at dusk from under the 100 Congress Ave. Bridge! It was awesome! Oh, and this hotel is perfect walking distance from the mall.
It is cheaper to stay there on Week-ends for $129.00 per night for a two bedroom, sofa bed, for 4 to 5 people than the weekday cost of $187.00 per night. This is well worth it when you have a big family.
We hope to stay there again for future visits.
