Lovely Hotel!! A review of Belmont Hotel
This is a wonderful hotel nestled in the heart of Oak Cliff, only a few miles from Downtown Dallas, as well as the newly restored Bishop Arts District. Some people might say this area is not the best in Dallas, but I've lived in Oak Cliff all of my life and it is a wonderful place to live. In fact, I couldn't imagine living anywhere else. There are hidden gems in this part of Dallas and The Belmont just happens to be one of them. I wouldn't worry too much about your safety either, since as one reviewer mentioned earlier, there are million dollar homes not even two blocks down the street!
My husband and I have been wanting to stay here ever since it opened and we picked our anniversary as the night to get away. We stayed in one of the garden suites, and the greatest thing about our room was that it overlooked the Dallas skyline. Long swaying trees provided a canopy right above one of our windows. Being lifetime Dallas residents, I didn't feel that I was in Dallas but somewhere very far away. The rooms were so comfy, especially the giant garden tub in our room. We also went swimming in the saltwater pool and it was very warm and relaxing.
Be sure to also hit up the Bar Belmont. I couldn't drink since I'm currently pregnant, but my husband raved about the drinks. They do make wonderful Shirley Temples there too :)
