Lovely hotel on quiet canal A review of Bryghia Hotel

Bryghia Hotel was a lovely experience and I'd stay there again, happily. It's on a quiet street, hidden away on a picturesque little canal. Not much traffic (especially if you have a canal view room). The lobby is nice and the hotel staff is helpful. The breakfast was good (nice breads, cereals, fruits, cold meats and cheeses - typical fare, but nicely done in a lovely dining room). The guest rooms are non-descript, but comfortable. Our room had a sit-down bathtub with open shower head - not perfect for people who like stand up showers, but what the heck. It was well-furnished with a nice hairdryer and other amenities. The location was great - a few minutes walk to Market Square, but not in the bustle of the tourist areas (if there is such a thing in Brugge). Check out Dumon Chocolatier near Market Square - the best we found among plenty of delicious competition. Brugge is gorgeous. Bryghia is a nice place to stay there and is reasonably priced.
