Lovely hotel and staff A review of Courtyard By Marriott Lancaster
THis is a copy of the letter I sent to Marriot.
My husband son and I recently stayed at your new facility in Lancster (10/8/2005) and I just want to tell you what a pleasant stay it was, despite some problems. We arrived around 4 pm after a horrible day of driving and touring colleges in the rain( with a sick 17 year old). Unfortunatley, neither of our rooms were ready as there had been some problems with either housekeeping or guests who stayed too long. WHile we were not happy, we understood that these things happen and the young lady at the front desk (Reanea is how I believe she spelled her name) could not have been nicer. We waited in your beautiful lobby, watching college football games on the TV near the bar area. Eventually one of the rooms was ready and sent our son up. The bartender arrived and my husband and I had a glass of wine (the bartender was also very pleasant) and then were given the keys to ur room. Despite our having to wait about an hour to get into our room, everything was handled so pleasantly that we didn't mind! As our son was sick, it was only going to be my husband and myself going to dinner. Reanea made us reservations and a lovely restaurant and, I found out latter, explained to them we had had a difficult day and asked them to provide us with especially nice seating! We returned to the hotel after dinner and retired to our beautiful room (are you sure it is a Courtyard???) and had a wonderfully restful sleep in your very comfortable beds. In addition to making the dinner reservations, Renea also provided us with free breakfast due to our long wait for the room and we enjoyed your buffet very much. My husband and I probably spend over 50 nights a year away from homes, staying in varied "star" quality hotels and I must say that our stay with you in Lancaster was one of the most pleasant. The crew you have in Lancaster were wonderful!!
