Lovely Comfortable Hotel A review of Hotel Theatrino
My husband took me to Prague for a surprise Brithday trip on the 19th December 2003 - we had a fantastic time, and would thoroughly recommend it as a City Break. We stayed at the 4-Star Arcotel Teatrino Hotel which was lovely, it was originally a Theatre and was renovated into a Hotel in 2001. The restaurant is based in the main Theatre Hall, so the original stage and window boxes are all still there, it is very modern, contemporary and very trendy. The breakfast choice was vast, and very tasty, and would suit all people whatever their tastes and requirements.
We stayed in a Standard Room and it was very nice, very clean with an En-Suite, and our only gripe was that it was very very hot in there, but we turned the radiators down and opened the window and it was fine.
There is an extensive mini-bar (but the drinks aren't cheap), and the TV has a selection of channels (most Chezch channels) but you can get a couple of English speaking channels. We had no complaints about the room other that the lack of a bath - we love to lie in the bath after walking for hours on end, but the shower was gorgeous, very powerful and very relaxing......
The main City Centre and Old Town & Wenceslas Square was only about 15 minutes away on the Tram which stopped just opposite the Hotel, and very easy to navigate, its 4 stops to the Old Town and there are about 4 trams which service the stop by the Hotel. There is also the Metro which is about a 20 minute walk and again very easy to navgiate.
I would highly recommend Prague & the Teatrino Hotel, the staff are friendly, the hotel very swish, but the drinks in the bar aren't cheap.
Overall we would definately go back.........
