Lovely Boutique Hotel A review of Eldorado Suites Hotel
We found this hotel on the Bisbee tourist web site and I called the hotel directly to book a room. The rooms are converted apartments, with all the conveniences that an apartment provides - full kitchen, bathroom and two good sized bedrooms. The hotel is located in a terrific position in downtown Bisbee, and the verandah offers a great view over the hillside town.
Tim, the owner / manager, could not have been more welcoming or helpful. He is a great source of information about Bisbee and even called a shopkeeper at home for us when we wanted to buy an item from a shop that was closed.
Bisbee itself is an unusual little town with an interesting history. It's very different from Tombstone, 30 minutes down the road and also worth a visit. Bisbee is almost like a European town with its hillside setting, winding narrow roads and loads of arts/crafts shops. Trying to find a grocery store to buy breakfast cereal was an adventure, finally we found a little store in a residential area. There are plenty of nice restaurants and the mine tour was good fun for both my husband and I and our kids.
I highly recommend Eldorado Suites, which was good value and excellent location with a B&B feel. Thanks Tim for making us feel so at home.
