Lovely, and OH that breakfast! A review of Applebutter Inn
Upon arriving at the Inn, we were greeted warmly by the Inn's delightful owners, Barbara and MIchael. We immediately felt relaxed after our long journey-the roaring fire in "The Yellow Room," warm cookies and hot tea didn't hurt either.
Our room was perfect. The bed was really comfortable and the bedding was gorgeous.
I have saved the best for last. The breakfast...aah, the breakfast. Where do I begin. The just-out-of-the-oven ginger scones were unbelievable. Then the fresh fruit cup. That was followed by something I think they called lemon souffle pancakes-the lightest, most delicious variation on the pancake theme you'll ever taste.
The next morning, Barbara repeated her baking wizardry with spectacular carrot muffins. The highlight of the second morning's breakfast was possibly the greatest breakfast food I've ever tasted...creme brulee french toast!! I can't explain it, but I can't stop dreaming about it either. Wow. And, oh yeah, Barbara's applebutter is the best you'll ever taste.
In summary, The Applebutter Inn is everything a B&B should be-warm, welcoming, a terrific Bed, and THAT Breakfast.
