Loved Zion Mountain Resort A review of Zion Mountain Resort
We stayed for 4 nights early May, 2005 at Zion Mountain Resort. Very quiet and peaceful area. We had deer within 20 feet of our deck one evening. A highlight was our trail ride with our guide, Guy. He is so interesting and knows a great deal about the whole area. A nice person for sure. Our cabin (204) sits high up and the view is incredible! The cabin itself was clean, very large and comfortable. The deck out back is awesome. Very windy though, we found that wind all over so no real negative. The only thing about the cabin was that the whirlpool tub is right in the sleeping area and very difficult to get out of. The people working there are very friendly. The only thing we would not recommend is the restaurant--the Buffalo Grill. Husband got the buffalo steak--just so so. My barbeque chicken was terrible. But again, no biggy, there are plenty of other restaurants down the road towards Bryce.
We definitely highly recommend the East Zion Mountain Resort. Even though it is on the east side, it takes very little time to drive back into the main part of the park. And a beautiful drive it is.
