Loved This Place A review of Bonaventure Resort & Spa

I stayed at this hotel on December 9 and had a wonderful stay. The place is extremely nice and very clean. It looks like some of the guest houses were still being renovated but you couldnt even tell. I flew into the Fort Lauderdale airport and a private sedan took me to the hotel. It was about $40 one way. I know that they also have a shared shuttle that you can take from the airport as well which is much cheaper. I believe it took 20-30 minutes to get to the hotel. When I arrived at the hotel I was greeted by a bell hop. He told me that the guest room is in a different building form the lobby and that i should leave my bag with him while i check in. I checked in and then the bell hop took me and my bag in a golf cart and drove me to my room. the hotel lobel was great. clean, spacious, and extremely clean. in the lobby there are 2 big fish tanks with tropical fish in it and also the restaurant and the bar. my room was really nice. i booked a single king bed but it was not ready when i arrived so they asked if they can put me in a room with 2 queen beds. it was just me so i said sure as i only needed one bed anyway. the room looked brand new. in the room that i had there was a refrigarator, oven, microwave and of course coffee maker. the room had a flat screen television in it and i had a patio as well with a table and 2 chairs. the bathroom was also very nice. marble counters, and nice shampoo and stuff. The shower was also all marble. however, it was just a shower, not a bathtub. The pool to the hotel was also great. Nice big waterfall in it and plenty of chairs. they also had a poolside bar but it was not open when i went. there is also a hot tub as well. the place is also surrounded by waterfalls and trees and plants. very relaxing setting. they also had 2 swans in the pond. extremely relaxing place. they also have a 24 hour gym which was top notch. the hotel also has a spa there as well. however, the prices there can be a bit pricey. i did eat breakfast and dinner in the hotel and it was very good. the hotel was extremely empty. i felt no one was there. but they said they are still trying to get visitors. the hotel is in a nice area but in the middle of nowhere. if you dont have a car there is no place for you to go. however, its nice just to walk around the hotel. well thats my review. i had a very nice stay and i highly recommend this place.
