Loved the view A review of Penn's View Hotel
We stayed at the Penn's View for one night in mid May. What a great find! The few pictures you can find online DO NOT do it justice. We were upgraded without asking to a lovely room with a jacuzzi tub and fireplace. The rooms are very private and cozy with cool architectural details. Nice amenities included good towels and fluffy robes. The surrounding neighborhood is great for strolling - independent bookshops, galleries and tons of restaurants. We ate in a simple but very tasty Afghan restaurant. There are also a lot of good bars/clubs nearby including a great little Belgian bar with literally hundreds of different beers available. All the staff at the Penn's View were very sweet and helpful. It felt like a boutique hotel but with a much more homey atmosphere. A very good value for the money.
