Loved the Riveredge! A review of Riveredge Resort
My teenage daughters and I had the good fortune to spend a weekend in one of the Channelview rooms at the Riveredge Resort in August 2003.
Upon entering the hotel I was impressed, but I've stayed in impressive hotels before. Our room was lovely but I've also stayed in lovely hotel rooms before. Then we opened the door to our balcony...and were mezmerized! Boldt Castle seemingly at our fingertips, a birds-eye view of the beautiful boats coming and going below. The occasional tanker gliding silently by. Although we had planned many activities (horseback riding, golfing, boat cruise, perhaps a helicopter ride) we hated the thought of leaving our balcony! As we sat soaking up the sunshine, we enjoyed watching the reaction of other hotel guests as they made their first venture out onto their balconies...and saw the same reaction. The meals and dining room staff were delightful. Sunday brunch in the Riveredge's 4-diamond restaurant was an unexpected treat. When we made a return visit in October, one of the waitresses even remembered us!
We're already making reservations for next summer. We highly recommend this resort for a luxurious relaxing stay in a beautiful location.
