Loved the Location! A review of Floor Hotel
The location was excellent! Easy to find, a simple 4-5 minute walk from the airport "Mini-Bus" main drop off at Namesti Republic. Well positioned, between Wenceslas Square and Old Town, and easy access to the Mustek Metro station.
Upon entry the staff, who due to availability upgraded to a double from a single, warmly greeted me. My second floor room was clean, comfortable and large, and well appointed, with a mini-bar, and a Jacuzzi-style tub.
Reading some comments here, I was concerned about sleeping and street noise, however neither were problems. On occasion street sounds could be heard, but no more than I'd heard when staying recently at the Austin Hilton, or the Barbary Coast in Vegas. Thankfully what I did not hear was the constant opening and closing of other guests room doors, which seems to plague many a European Hotel.
The breakfast room was a delight, serving from 7:30-10:30. An array of choices abounded, including hot & cold meats, cheeses, potatoes, eggs cooked to order (on request), salad bar, fresh breads & fruits, juices and tea & coffee. Hosted by a friendly, yet unobtrusive, young Czech woman.
Prague was great. The architecture was spectacular. A week was perhaps too long, but I would come back, and I would happy stay at "The Floor" again, and recommend to anyone.
