Loved the bedding A review of The Skirvin Hilton Oklahoma City
Stayed at the Skirvin May 4, 2007 for 39th wedding anniversary- surprised by how small the rooms were ( remember it was built 95 years ago) but everything was beautiful from the choice of furnishings, paint, drapes, crown molding, 32inch LCD flat-screen TV- the bed and pillows were outstanding- we indulged ourselves by sleeping 10 hrs straight! Be sure to explore the place- everything has been beautifully restored (opened again in Feb, 2007)- be sure to see the red piano bar and the 2-story long red drapes. The location is excellent- Bricktown is only a couple of blocks away- it is one block from Cox Convention Center and 2 blocks from Ford Center, both of which host a lot of sporting events and concerts.
The only disappointment was breakfast- had a wait to get a table and the food was only average- thankfully we had paid extra $5 per person for breakfast and didn't pay the menu prices which were $5-16 each.
Pool area must be original (in basement)- capacity of pool is 14! Hot tub capacity is 5.
Overall a wonderful evening to celebrate anniversary.
