LOVED the Atlantic A review of The Atlantic Resort & Spa
Upon check-in we were asked if we wanted a "Florida Refresher", which is a non-alcoholic tropical juice. It was absolutely delicious and truly refreshing after being in the Florida heat. The hotel is directly across from the beach and has beautiful views, especially if you have a suite like we did. We stayed over the July 4th weekend for 5 nights and saw the fireworks from our huge beachfront balcony. Our balcony allowed us to see fireworks from 2 ends of the beach and the side and back of the hotel...we basically saw about 20 different sets of fireworks at once. The pool is a nice length and has a max depth of 4 ft, and there is also a jacuzzi near the pool. There is a pool side bar and the staff bring you cold water and towels while you sit at the pool. Oh, and the hotel has WiFi throughout although in some areas the signal is poor or non-existent. The signal near the pool is good if you are at one of the tables or depending on the exact spot you are in front of the pool. I had a hard time getting online in my bedroom. The regular rooms look nice too, but I definitely think the suite takes the cake (next to the penthouse of course). Our suite had a full kitchen with black kitchenaid appliances and was stocked with cookware. The bed linens were very nice as should be expected from a luxury hotel. The bathroom was huge with a separate shower stall and Jacuzzi tub and the commode had a door you could close - also included a small walk-in closet. There were 2 tvs (with bose dvd/cd player in the living room) and bose cd clock radio in the bedroom. The staff was very attentive and accommodating. The only complaint was the temperature of the hotel lobby and hallways. It was freezing. We didn't order room service or eat at the restaurant but I'm sure it would have been delicious. Also, parking was $24/day after tax, and there is NO off street parking anywhere in site. Overall, I loved this hotel,...and would definitely return again.
