Loved the Alexandros, but a bit out of the way A review of Airotel Alexandros

Arrived early to the hotel and we were upgraded to the Bronze Suite. Huge room with California King, sitting area with chairs and couch, and a huge bathroom. Shower (that floods the floor, as usual in Athens) plus bathtub with 2 sinks. Very stylish decor-black walls, modern art on the walls and plants in vases. Decent buffet breakfast is included with the usual trimmings plus some nice extras: fresh fruit, scrambled eggs, breakfast meats. The staff was always friendly and especially helpful, including the front desk and manager. All common areas were very well-kept, cool and clean. Free internet in the lobby (1 computer only). Nice lobby bar, but very small. Didn't try the restaurant for dinner.

The only drawback was it's distance from the city center: 10 minutes from the nearest Metro and at least 2 stops from most of the tourist stops. But it's in a quiet little corner not far from local cafes and tavernas. I would absolutely stay here again and highly recommend it, but only if you're willing to walk a bit to get to town.
